Do you have a container garden on your front step, or a window box? Edible flowers and pretty vegetables may be the ticket to growing for your kitchen while making it look fantastic too! Did you know that planting flowers alongside your vegetables attracts pollinators and increases produce yields? Or discourages pests? Have you ever planted veggies in and around your shrubs and bushes? How about fruit trees and bushes in your yard? We will share some ideas about beautiful vegetables, flowers you can eat and why and how to use these.
Special note: This month we are meeting at Salvy the Florist on Broadway. Depending on weather, delivery trucks, etc. most likely we will meet in the back. Bring a chair and a hat. Parking is on the street so as a courtesy for their customers, leave some space by the door for others to park.
Gardeners of all experience levels are welcome!
