access

Through the work of Lynn Grows, we aim to expand existing food access points for low-income residents and elderly residents in Lynn through the following activities:

Expand and support strong use of existing farmers markets, farm stands, and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares in the Lynn neighborhood through marketing and outreach.

  • Continue to promote existing markets and CSAs

  • Develop a more robust campaign to raise awareness of new markets and opportunities in the city

  • Ensure that new markets and opportunities expand to areas that would increase ease of access via public transportation, walking, etc. and are culturally relevant

Develop a community wide resource available to the public that lists all food access points throughout the city, including Hunger Relief Organizations, farmers markets, stores, etc.

  • Work with institutional partners in Lynn to identify food access points throughout the city

  • Update Lynn Grows website with new resource information to share with the public

  • Launch awareness campaign to share resources with the Lynn community
